I came across an interesting post on search engine land today that suggests / queries (rather tongue in cheek) is Google out to get Facebook..

The author stumbled upon the phenomenon when typing “how do I…” into Google and got prompted with a number of options which included – “How do I delete my Facebook account” He was curious was this happening on Bing and yahoo also and looked into but it wasn’t happening there….

He ran a Google trends report and noticed it was a rising trend.

He points out also that both Bing and Microsoft had predictive search results for deleting the others accounts i.e. Bing – “How do I delete yahoo account?” and Yahoo – “How do I delete my hotmail account?”

Out of curiosity I ran a Google Insight Report for Ireland but nothing showed up…maybe we know how to do this or just haven’t fallen out of love with Facebook yet… will keep an eye on this…

Every year Arekibo supports a corporate social responsibility project.

Arekibo Corporate Social Responsibilty Projects

As a result Arekibo are always looking at ways that our charity clients can incorporate new ways of getting people to support their organisations. I came across an interesting article that outlines 10 ways to support charities through social networking tools

The article can be found at http://ecoble.com/2009/07/14/10-ways-to-support-charity-through-social-media/

Its well worth a read !
