Jet Set Willy on MSX

The game was launched on the MSX system and it was one of my first addictions in gaming. The graphics and game play were amazing for its time and the game was  very difficult (something that lacks in most modern games).

As the C64 arrived on the games market it did so with a bang of great games i could have picked some of my favorite ones but to be honest the below video does the C64 a lot more justice.

Super Mario Brothers on the NES and SNES )

Any list you find on the web in relation to games or console will contain a mention of super Mario brothers and this is just because it was and still is a great game. The evolution of the Mario series has been amazing but the one game in the series that had the largest impact in the game was (for me) Super Mario 3.

Half life on PC

As you might have noticed I took a major leap in the years and not even mentioning some of the amazing PC games that came out on PC like the Adventure games of Sierra and LucasArt (Police Quest , Kings Quest , Leisure suit larry, Monkey Island, Indiana Jones) nor did I mention the great thrillers like 7th Guest or 11th Hour or the shooters like Doom and Quake.

No, for me Half Life was a moment to behold because this game was a real leap from the convential PC games that were around at that time. The gripping story line and the amazing graphics made this game one of my favorites making me play and finish the game multiple times.

Gears of War on X-Box 360

The newest game in our list arrived here because of the innovations it brought to the 360 console. Not only were the graphics amazing (especially on a HD TV) it also brought a whole different style of playing First Person Shooters. The game and story would really grip you and the addition online game play would really make you spend hours and hours with ease. A number one relation breaker  on its release here is Gears of War
