			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I came across this <a title="Epic 2014 - History of the web" href="http://idorosen.com/mirrors/robinsloan.com/epic/">flash presentation by Robin Sloan</a> a few years ago. It&#8217;s a look back at the web as if it&#8217;s written in 2014 and talks about the mergers and take overs that would occur in the years from 2004 (when it was written). It was a fascinating idea when it came out and it&#8217;s interesting that although it&#8217;s before Facebook, Twitter, the iPhone, the attempted Yahoo! takeover, etc., it&#8217;s not so far off what has happened in the 5 years since it was written. It will be interesting to watch again in 2014 to see how close to the mark it hits.</p>
