Twitterist claims to be the Dalai Lama

I was suprised to hear on the radio and read on the online news that the Dalai Lama had joined Twitter. I read that “His Holiness thought it was prudent to make his office open and assessable to a more youth and technologically advancing audience.” I thought that it was interesting and I suppose pretty cool that he would have the time and interest to do it but i did sound very odd.
