Ireland have just lost a World Cup play off against France in Paris. The French footballer Thierry Henry handled the ball in the penalty area before passing the ball to his team mate William Gallas who scored.
So whats the point of this post…you only have to watch twitter to see the anger and reaction about Henry’s actions. Thierry Henry, Ireland, France and World Cup are currently in the top 6 trending topics on twitter with the majority of tweets taking a swipe at Henry.
Video’s and photos have been made available in a matter of minutes to show Henry’s actions.
Follow the tweets (maybe abuse or should I say feedback…)
Thierry Henry – Ireland – France
People are also asking us to boycott Gillette who sponsor Henry. Will his actions damage his sponsorship deal? (that’s another posts for another day)
Lets wait and see if Henry uses his twitter account to give a response to his actions…follow Thierry Henry at http://twitter.com/Thierry_Henry/ I’d say he will.
Surprisingly Henry follows 4 people on twitter…one being the other Hand of God fellow Diego Maradonna…
I’ll say no more.
Enjoy!

It’s more than just anger, I think we need to invent a new word just to describe it!
